Grammy award-winning recording artist Lauryn Hill taught her concert-goers that she demands a little bit of R-E-S-P-E-C-T when she hits the stage. The Hip Hop legend recently performed at the House of Blues in Chicago, Illinois on July 16 and took it upon herself to remove a heckling fan after she deemed him as being disrespectful. The most ironic detail of them all is that TMZ reports the singer was nearly an hour late for her own concert and once she got on stage fans viewed her performance as "rushed and sloppy."
According to TMZ after the fan called out the singer and flipped her off for not delivering a suitable enough opening, she belittled the fan in front of the entire crowd and sent him packing.
The "Killing Me Softly" singer let the crowd know that she wasn't having it real quick:
"When I get up on this stage, don’t be disrespectful. Seriously, you can go. You can go, I would prefer that. You’re gonna mess this up for the rest of these people. . . Excuse me, excuse me, there’s a gentlemen over there who just did something I don’t like. Can you please escort him out and refund him his money? I don’t play that. I don’t need to win you over and you don’t need to win me over. You can go and you can take all your money right back. I do this because I love it, not because I owe you anything, do you understand? I do this because I love it and you can get on your blogs, Tweet, whatever you want to. I don’t give a rat’s ass."Take a look at the footage of the incident here.
