Alberto Del Rio was fired for unprofessional conduct and having an altercation with a superior, social media manager Cody Barbierri. While his release may be just, you cannot strike your co-workers, rumor has it that Del Rio was a victim of racism in the workplace. Barbierri allegedly joked that it was Alberto's job to clean his plate. WWE's official statement via Twitter says "be angry at Alberto." Personally, I don't think anyone needs to be angry.
It was confirmed the Del Rio will be at Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion's (AAA) TripleMania, on August 17th. No comment on what role he will play in the lucha libre's PPV. It's likely Del Rio has a 90 day No Compete clause in his WWE contract.
