Maybach Music Group Rapper Meek Mill, Ordered To Prison After Parole Violation

Days after rapper Meek Mill kicked off a social media family feud with his fellow label-mate Wale, he was hit with some rough news in the courtroom that even his big ego couldn't fix.

On July 11, Meek Mill was ordered by a Philadelphia judge to three to six months in jail after violating his parole as a result of a drug and gun conviction back in 2008. The cause behind all this still seems to be unclear but the local DA states that he was "worried about his behavior while on probation."

The rising rapper's dreams have quickly turned into nightmares. This ordeal comes as a shock as he just recently announced the September 9 release date for his sophomore album titled Dreams Worth More Than Money.

But not to worry because Maybach Music Group head honcho, Rick Ross, has got it all under control. The rapper released a written statement to MTV on July 12 in regards to Meek Mill's legal troubles, and how MMG will continue Meek's mission as planned.

"I created MMG years ago, my desire was to create a space where the most talented artists in the world could be nurtured and supported. With that came a commitment. I vowed to support these artist, through the good and the bad. Every individual signed to MMG is not just an artist, they are my family. And with family you ride, or you die. Yesterday, my brother, Meek Mill ran into some unfortunate legal issues. It happens. However, his team, our team, will continue to execute Meek’s plan as close to schedule as possible."

As a result of the sentence, Meek Mill's upcoming shows and projects have been cancelled/postponed. As far as the album, Rick Ross tells MTV that it is still coming and asks fans to continue showing Meek Mill love and support.

"We ask that the fans and the media continue to support him and his music during this time. He’ll be home soon. ‘Dreams Are Worth More Than Money,’ and family is worth more than Everything.  MMG FOR LIFE"

Hey readers! Do you think Meek Mill should have kept a lower profile in the industry while on probation? Why or why not?

Paul Pierce signs with The Washington Wizards.

Paul Pierce has once again, signed to another team this season. After spending 15 seasons playing for the Boston Celtics, he signed with the Brooklyn Nets, for the 2014 season. This past weekend, Pierce and the Washington Wizards came to an agreement, as he has signed a two year contract with the Wizards. That contract will be worth $10.8 million.

Pierce, who is now 36, will be playing for a young, talented team, that made an appearance in the playoffs last season. His championship experience could be something he provides, to the upstart team.

With the performance of the Wizards last season, "Double P" could be a great asset, to provide a lot more strength for this team, to make the playoffs in 2014, in a conference that's not as competitive as the west.

More on Melo resigning with the Knicks.

After over a week of contemplating and  speculating, Carmelo Anthony is  scheduled to resign with the Knicks.  The  Brooklyn-born NBA superstar was courted by various NBA teams when he became a free agent at the conclusion of the NBA season. In the past season, he averaged 27.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.  Because of his gifted basketball talents, he was heavily recruited by other teams. Organizations that he met up with were; the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and the New York Knicks. In the end, he decided  to stay with the Knicks.  Anthony will be signing a 5 year contract extension. The exact price has yet to be announced, but since the Knicks can offer him the most money, it will be
around $129 million.

With Mike Woodson gone as coach, it will be interesting to see how Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks fare with Derek Fisher as the new coach.

Melo stays! Knicks fans in AWE as Carmelo Anthony STAYS a New York Knickerbocker!

Multiple sources are reporting via Twitter that it's pretty much a "done deal," Knicks fans could expect their pride and joy, Melo BACK in New York this season!

CBSsports.com reports;

"The first big domino in free agency fell on Friday when LeBron James chose to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers over re-signing with the Miami Heat. Now the other big free agent has made his decision. Ken Berger of CBSSports.com has confirmed reports that Carmelo Anthony will re-sign with the New York Knicks. Anthony is expected to receive a five-year, $129 million contract to stay in New York as he remains the centerpiece around Phil Jackson's vision for rebuilding this roster into less of a joke and more of a contender."

"Anthony's decision to stay could be viewed as a money grab, considering he's earning $30 million more than anywhere else he can sign. With the Knicks being such a disaster last season due to coaching problems, roster issues, and injuries, it doesn't seem like the team is in any position to contend because they aren't. But just a year prior to the disasterous season, Anthony led them to 54 wins and the second round of the playoffs. There isn't any roster flexibility this season, unless a team is willing to take the contracts of big men Amar'e Stoudemire and/or Andrea Bargnani, but Jackson's vision for the future could be a quick turnaround after the 2014-15 season."

Knicks fans all over the New York tri-state area are RELIEVED since the news just broke, only minutes ago. This should be an exciting year for New York, with new head coach, Derek Fisher onboard, alongside their new president who came to the rescue at the end of the 2014 season, Phil Jackson.

"Just Hold On, I'm Coming Home," Lebron James returns to Cleveland

After many speculations that James would be returning back to Cleveland, it's official. He's back!

USAToday.com reports:

"The 29-year-old went to Miami, won two titles and repaired his reputation. He joined friends and fellow All-Stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in forming a historic trio, but the Big 3 lasted only four years. He is a four-time MVP, two-time Finals MVP and Hall of Fame-bound superstar.
Goodbye Miami, it was great while it lasted. Hello Cleveland, where there is unfinished business.
James' agent, Rich Paul, talked with the Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, and James and Paul met Wednesday with Heat President Pat Riley in Las Vegas."
Now Miami Heat fans, know EXACTLY what it feels like to be a Yankee fan this year! The 2015 NBA season should be interesting to say the least.

Free Agents Living Vicariously Thru King James.

"King" Lebron James, has the world in awe as we all await his decision. This time 4 years ago, people were disgusted with the way he handled "the decision," and how he said not 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 rings. Now, people are upset that he hasn't made a decision in a timely fashion (quite an anomaly), and is making us wait patiently or impatiently (for some of us).

He holds the reigns to the NBA free agency as many others await the sign to see where the biggest free agent in years lands, and how the balance in the NBA will shift tremendously based on his decision. Former teammates Chris Bosh (who has a offer from the Houston rockets), and Dwayne Wade, (who left 2 years 42 million on the table), opted out of their contracts to make room for the return of "The King," and potential free agents to make a run at their 5th straight nba finals; but, did they make the right decision? Or will it hinder them from making the money they had on the table? The latest reports are that he will be signing with the Cleveland Caviliers.

Only time will tell and only "King James" himself, knows as of now.
