They weren't done yet. Yankees sign 29 year old closer, Andrew Bailey! Orioles look build by adding Cruz, and more.

Just when you thought the Yankees were done shopping, BOOM! There goes a new addition to the bullpen.

The Yankees have signed former Red Sox and Oakland A's reliever Andrew Bailey, to a one year deal worth about 2 million, with a second season option.

Via CBSSports.com
Bailey, age 29, pitched to a 3.77 ERA (110 ERA+) and 3.25 K/BB ratio in 28 2/3 innings for the Red Sox last season. For his career, Bailey owns an impressive ERA+ of 160 across parts of five big-league seasons, and he's struck out 227 batters in 218 innings. On the downside, Bailey has been on the DL five times in and lost more than 300 games to injury. Last July, he underwent shoulder surgery.

Still recovering from his shoulder surgery, he isn't expected to start throwing til July. With his experience and young age, I think he would be a better fit for a closer, rather then David Robertson. But right now, this is the only option. Starting him as the closer next year, wouldn't be a good for Robertson. Throwing D-Rob around from reliever to closer, would screw him up. He would end up similar to how Joba Chamberlin ended up. That being said, Bailey will likely be the 7th-8th inning guy for his career in pinstripes.

Today, the Yankees locked in Brett Gardner, for 4 years!! That deal is worth 52 million. Gardner, straight from the Yankees farm system, has decided to stay loyal to where he came from, unlike Robinson Cano.

Perfect trade bait this off season, has turned the other direction!  Love this.

Off Yankee talk real quick, the Orioles signed former Texas Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz, to a one year deal worth 8 million. This team is really looking to build. I'm predicting a Yanks vs. Orioles ALDS, with the Yankees taking it in game 4.

Eminem announces The Monster Tour, with Rihanna, coming this summer!!!!

Thats right, Eminem is finally back! After his international tour with Kendrick Lamar & J Cole, Marshall will be heading back to the U.S. for a 3 city stadium tour in August! He will be hitting a stage, in centerfield, in Los Angeles, Detroit, and New York this summer with Rihanna.

Em's last U.S. tour, the "Home and Home Tour," was back in 2010 along with Jay-Z, where he headlined Comerica Park & Hov headlined Yankee Stadium.

Incase you're wondering, tickets are NOT on sale yet. It has not been announced yet WHICH stadiums the greatest rapper of ALL time will be doing, but judging by his 2010 tour, (which I attended) it's sure going to be an epic, historic night in each city. Attending Em's concerts for almost 15 years now, he has never left me disappointed or regretting spending the CRAZY amounts of money I paid to see him. It truly is an indescribable feeling, from the first second he starts, til the very end.

As far as the New York City show, I'm thinking he might decide to switch it up, and do Citi Field. Either way, I WILL be there, and when the tickets sell out IMMEDIATELY, and a second (and maybe 3rd) show is announced, I'll be there as well.

If you haven't, or even if you HAVE been lucky enough to catch the Rap God in concert, make sure u don't miss this one. It might be your last chance. This might be his last run. If it's not, the next time he plans to tour again MIGHT not be for a while.

So, with that said, again....make sure you grab your tickets when they go on sale. It will be slightly impossible, so I recommend StubHub as a second option. If you are looking to save some dough, wait a day before the concert, or even a few hours before, as the prices will likely drop.

And then there was none. Derek Jeter announces his retirement, as the last member of the Core Four.

Today was every Yankee fans worst nightmare. We all knew it was coming, but we didn't expect it anytime soon, and we certainly did not expect it THIS year. As I sit here fighting back my tears, I can't believe I'm writing Derek Jeter has announced that 2014, will be his last year as a Major League Baseball player.

I don't know where to begin. This is devastating. My generation grew up on Derek Jeter. Whether you're a Met fan, Tampa fan, or even a Boston fan, it was pretty much impossible to not have respect for this man. Not only has he achieved SO much throughout his career to now be called a LEGEND, he was an all around, gentleman. Keeping out of the media for negativity is a hard thing to do these days, but he always managed to take the media spotlight in a GOOD way. Whether it were for his charity, and doing various events such as speaking in schools, or taking the time out to sign autographs for fans, there is not a bad bone in his body.

On the field, thoughout his 18 years of playing baseball, he was NEVER ejected from a game! His milestone will live FOREVER!

After watching Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte, and lastly Mariano Rivera all announce their retirement speeches, I think this one is gonna be the roughest of them all.

I can't even speak right now about what Cashmans next move is going to be, to replace him. Or if The Captain will join the team as a coach eventually. That's not important right now. What's important is, keeping him healthy and giving him the most memorable season of his life. What's sad is that his last game could not be played at the old Yankee Stadium. However, I think this is going to be extra motivation, for the team to get their 28th World Series ring.

That being said, let's do this. Bring on the 2014 season and do it for The Caption!

A-Rod gives up, Knicks can't keep a win streak, Super BLOWout, Jeter dumps his girl to concentrate on baseball, and more.

A-Rod has went on to prove he is, in fact, GUILTY! Well, that's not a fact, but it sure looks like Alex has a guilty conscience. He has decided to accept his 162 game suspension, and drop his lawsuit against the MLB and the MLBPA (Major League Baseball Players Association.) The Yankees third baseman, however, is now suing The Daily News and former New York City Police Commissioner, Bernard Kerik, for defamation. Get 'em A-Rod! They have NO right to be tarnishing your name! <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">
It was just earlier last week, I had read David Cone state in an interview, that Alex better not show up at Spring Training. This was after we interviewed David Cone a few weeks ago, as he said he was "sad" for A-Rod.

I am not FOR or AGAINST the use of PEDs. If that's something you feel you need as an athlete to better yourself as a ball player, that's okay in my book. I'm disappointed to see A-Rod give up this fight. I was proud to see him put his foot down, stand up for himself, and fight for what he once called his "innocence."

The Knicks ended a 3 game losing streak last week, by defeating the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Shumpert is back off the bench, and while Felton continues to be unproductive, JR Smith and Carmelo Anthony continue to progress through the first half, but can't seem to pull it through the 2nd half, lately.

(Best thing throughout the entire game.)

Well now that football is over, today was a great Sunday. We are just FIVE (5) DAYS AWAY from pitchers and catchers reporting to Spring Training! Opening Day for the Yankees is April 7th, and I cannot WAIT to be back home in the Bronx, to see the beginning of a very INTERESTING (to say the least) season, ahead of us.

No one could've predicted that huge blowout of a football game last Sunday. It was boring, and caused too much pollution in my state for no reason! I bet Sherman really does think he's better then everyone else, now that he has a Super Bowl ring to prove so....

Derek Jeter has reportedly dumped his girlfriend, model Hannah Davis, to focus on Spring Training and the upcoming 2014 season. Too bad he can't find himself a lucky charm, similar to Kate Hudson (A-Rod's former lucky girlfriend back in 2009.)

Hip Hop almost NON Existent at the Grammys, Robinson Cano in attendance, and more.

Via the official Instagram of Beyoncé.

The 54th annual Grammy awards has slapped the hip hop industry right in the face, this past Sunday night.

While LL Cool J hosted the show, along with a show opening performance by Beyoncé (later followed by a little help from Jay-Z), the Grammy's went on to prove that it is nothing more then a glorified, Pop/Rock Music Award Show. Jay-Z won the award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, for his hit "Holy Grail" featuring Justin Timberlake, amongst a few other awards throughout the night. Unfortunately, that's where the night ended for Hip Hop (other then an outstanding performance by Kendrick Lamar.)

Pop artist Macklemore, won the Grammy for Best Rap Album, along with Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best New Artist. After the show, Macklemore sent a text message to Kendrick, stating that Kendrick had gotten "robbed" of the Best Rap Album category. Okay, so if that's how you're REALLY feeling, then give him the Grammy! Kendrick DID get robbed and he absolutely deserved to win for all his hard work & struggle!

Via the official Instagram of Macklemore.

Via the official Instagram of Robinson Cano.

Robinson Cano posted a picture on Instagram, sitting with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. I'm gonna say, since Robbie signed with Roc Nation Sports, his ego has gone through the roof. Cano seems to think he's a "super celebrity" now! I wonder if this "signing with Roc Nation Sports" trend, is going to effect CC's persona. Honestly, I wouldn't expect anything less then his normal self. A respectful athlete, who appreciates the organization he works for.

Next years Grammys should be interesting. Judging by this year, it's looking like Hip Hop is gonna have less & less impact, year by year in the future.

No More Mike Francesa Show On YES, as Mike hangs up the hat.

VIA Official Yes Network YouTube Channel

Mike Francesa, sadly, announced earlier today that he will no longer broadcast his live, weekly show on YES.

Francesa said his goodbyes, reading off a list thanking those who have helped him throughout his 12 years of broadcasting. He also ended his "goodbye speech" wishing them all well, and wished for some "Yankee health," as well. He will be on WFAN this Monday, to talk about Super Bowl.

This guy inspires me everyday. His passion for sports, and voice of opinion with absolutely NO filter, is a great asset to the sports industry. Very sad day for me, and any true Yankee fan. Its not going to be the same without seeing his outbursts on YES Network, throughout the day.
