By this time we would have thought we would be screaming "REMY'S BACK," but unfortunately our premature notions of Remy Ma's prison release have fallen through. The former first lady of Terror Squad was originally set to be released from her prison sentence early on July 31 because of good behavior but the tables shockingly turned during her last week's stay. Hot 97's chief news correspondent Miss Info took to her blog the day Remy was supposed to be released to spill the details on the retraction of the rapper's correctional facility.

Miss Info reported:

"Remy Ma was expected to walk out of the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility today at 8am. She’s spent past 6 years in prison after being convicted of shooting a former friend in 2008. Her husband Papoose, managers, family members, friends, fans and camera crews stood outside for hours waiting for the 34-year old Reminisce Smith, with an assortment of fancy cars to take her home. But according to sources on the scene, around noon, prison officials came out and spoke to Papoose personally, and soon after, he and his crew left. In a strong show of restraint, Papoose was reportedly calm despite the news. While it’s unclear why her release has hit a roadblock (parole officials would only confirm to Revolt that she’s still in custody), we were told that Remy Ma spent what was supposed to be the last week of her incarceration in solitary confinement."

In addition to Miss Info's report, Diddy's rising music network REVOLT TV spoke to an official at the correctional facility who inform them that the disciplinary problem Remy was involved in occurred on July 21. This also happens to be the same date that Remy Ma phoned into Power 105.1's radio personality Angie Martinez's show for a brief chat.

"An official at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility informed REVOLT that Remy Ma was involved in a disciplinary problem on July 21.That date also happens to be the same day the Bronx-bred lyricist phoned into Power 105 personality Angie Martinez's radio show, although officials haven't confirmed if that was the reason for her delayed release, only citing "a third party call" being an issue."

Whatever the issue seems to be, we hope it gets cleared up soon. Remy is going to have to keep a low-profile until she is actually released in an effort to avoid any further delays to her freedom. In the meantime, all we can do is wait and hope for the best.
