WWE Raw Recap: Wiz Rocks a Cena Shirt and Randy Orton Rocks My world

World's collide when hip hop super star Wiz Khalifa comes out for Monday Night Raw live from Pittsburgh, PA. While the rest of the universe is talking shit, I was bursting at the seems with excitement. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Heyman was gold, #Wizdow was trending worldwide, Bray and Taker has me at the edge of my seat, and the main event was probably one of the best I've seen this year.

Did Vince know what he was getting into when he signed off on Wiz? Controversial tweets from the stoner rapper may be considered bad press for a family friendly show. "Ever perform a song for the first time in front of millions? Ever perform a song for the first time in front of million ON WEED!" Keep it classy, Wiz.
To add to the controversy, Randy Orton stole the show(and my heart) when he turned on The Authority and flipped 'em the bird. I don't know why this isn't making a bigger splash around the wrestling community. Granted, this isn't a first for the Viper and the split from the Authority was predictable, Orton blew my mind with his performance. They are expected to face each other at Wrestlemania later this month.

Not Afraid: The Shady Records Story Ft. Eminem, 50 Cent, & Dr. Dre

Fifteen years ago, the world was introduced to a rapper from Detroit named Eminem, and hip-hop hasn’t been the same since.

Last year, Eminem and Paul Rosenberg celebrated the 15 year anniversary of their label, Shady Records, with the release of the compilation album Shady XV. The album was a double disk, one side filled with new material and the other filled with Shady's greatest hits. While the album provided a neat summary of the label's history, it didn't really tell the story of how Shady Records came to be and what it achieved during it's 15 year run.

This documentary is an in-depth look into not only Eminem's career, but also the careers of the all the artists' who graced the label over the years. There are interviews with Dr. Dre, and the man who Em helped turn into a superstar, 50 Cent, Mr. Porter and Royce Da 5'9. This documentary is the definitive look into how one of the rap's greatest stars came to be.

The 32-minute film, which was shot in Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York, chronicles how Shady Records became one of the most dominant labels of the 2000s.

Eminem talks about his humble beginnings and how he went from struggling local rapper to an international superstar. But once Em's career took off, that's when things really started to get interesting as Shady brought artists like D12, Obie Trice, and 50 Cent into the fold. After a few missteps and a step back from music in the late 2000s, Shady entered the 2010s with new acts like Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf.

“Within the next 15 years, we’ll try to keep shit going and try to sign new exciting acts. Hopefully discover the next whatever,” said Eminem.

New Music from Kendrick Lamar, Cam'ron and Joell Ortiz

Kendrick Lamar announced on Twitter that he has a new album coming out.

On March 23, he’ll release a new collection of 16 songs that includes his most recent track, “The Blacker the Berry.” The record doesn’t have a title (it’s just listed as [Untitled]) nor does it have a proper cover. The 16-track album is called  is now available to pre-order on iTunes. Noticeably, his Grammy-winning anthem "I" is not shown on the tracklist.

Lamar debuted a new song on The Colbert Report in December. The new album is a follow-up to his 2012 major-label debut Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City. That's all the info we have now, as it looks like the cover art is just a black square and no tracklist has been shared yet. Let the rest of the speculation begin now, but at least we have some information.

Cam’ron’s got a busy 2015 ahead of himself, and it’ll likely culminate with his new album Purple Haze 2.

“I’m getting ready to go on tour in March and April for the Diplomat tour. Then in May, Cam’ron by himself is going overseas,” Killa told Revolt, speaking in third person. “Then I start shooting ‘Percentage 2′ and ’3′ in June and July. Then at the end of July the Diplomat album coming out, then I’ll start working on Purple Haze 2 for this December.”

Like many of his fans, Cam has a special place in his heart for Purple Haze.“My favorite album that I ever recorded, it would probably be Purple Haze," he revealed. "I was staying out here, I was staying in Chicago at that time. I was staying in Ohio. I was back in New York, I was all over the place so I got to see a bunch of different cultures. I always travel but I never sat down in one other state for more than two, three weeks. I was living in Chicago for three years. I was living in Ohio for five years. Just meeting different people from parts of the United States while I was doing that album was pretty dope."

As he has been hinting on his social media accounts, Joell Ortiz has some new music in the works too. Despite saying that he would be falling back from the rap game, Tony Yayo enlists Ortiz and Uncle Murda for a track that pays homage to his hometown of New York City. He also has been in the studio with eminem as shown in eminem's Instagram post.

Latest on the Yankees; a Look at Spring Training, A-Rod, Gardner, the Bullpen, and more.

Between spring training games, the A-Rod spectacle, significant questions floating around and statements Sent from my iPhone

For most teams, spring training is a time when players compete for a roster spot. The biggest competition in Yankees camp this year is which roster spot should cause the most concern.

Take the day Alex Rodriguez attracted all the attention for his spring debut. Obviously, what remains of his ability will be one of the most scrutinized issues all spring and for the entire season.

There hasn't been much discussion on whether CC Sabathia can rebound from the worst year of his career. Or if an apparently healthy Michael Pineda has regained the consistency and stamina to provide more than year's 76 stellar innings.

Masahiro Tanaka, with the seven-year, $155 million contract he signed before last season, is the Yankees one legitimate chance for a dominant ace at the top of the rotation. He was 11-1 with a 1.99 earned run average in mid-June last year. He reported elbow pain after July start in Cleveland, but counting the three outings before that one through the two he made in a September bid to check the progress of his ongoing rehab project, he was 2-4 with a 4.91 ERA.

Tanaka says he's been building his strength, continuing the treatment that includes platelet-rich plasma injections and expects to start a spring game next week. If this doesn't work, especially if it takes a bit longer to decide he's not beating the odds that catch up to most pitchers trying to rehab a partial tear, Tanaka could be nearly halfway through the contract before he pitches again.

While Alex Rodriguez has been getting back to form, what his time in Tampa will not tell is if he is ready for regular-season major league at-bats. This is a man who didn't look like A-Rod we knew when we saw him in a batter’s box, and then he took a full year off, plus he’s had two hip surgeries and will turn 40 this summer. So unless he is completely overmatched during the Grapefruit League, it won’t be possible to make an accurate judgment.

So, if we learned anything over Rodriguez’s first 12 days at Yankees camp, it is that he is just as curious as all of us to find out how he matches up with other major leaguers at this point in his career.

Amid the worries, there have been some positive finds during spring training.

While the current crop is no "Core Four," there might finally be some decent position player prospects on the near horizon for the Yankees. Three of the best, second baseman Rob Refsnyder, first baseman Greg Bird, and outfielder Aaron Judge, are making strong impressions in big league camp, and Refsnyder could possibly open the season in the majors.

With only Stephen Drew standing in his way, Refsnyder has a decent chance of winning the Yankees’ second base job at some point in the near future. On Friday, Refsnyder continued his hot hitting against the Phillies and looks like a guy who should bat .275 or better in the majors. With a compact swing, good plate discipline, and plus bat speed, Refsnyder has all the tools to be solid No. 2 hitter in a big league lineup. He doesn’t have much power and isn’t a big base-stealing threat, but he’s a guy who could contribute batting average, runs, and RBI in the majors as soon as this year.

Bird’s future is a little less certain. He’s limited defensively and has had a history of back injuries. On the plus side, he has good power, above-average plate discipline, and a smoother, shorter swing than most players his size. Bird has handled everything he’s seen thus far in big league camp and hasn’t been phased by quality pitching in the at-bats I’ve observed. Here in spring camp, he’s demonstrated a patient approach, used the whole field, and punished the mistakes he’s gotten. Bird will likely return to Double-A to begin the season, but he’s starting to look like he might be the Yankees first baseman of the future. If he continues to develop, a .270-20-90 line is within reach.

Judge is the furthest from the majors, having split last season between Low-A and High-A. He can still get beaten by quality stuff, but his excellent plate discipline and simple swing will help keep his batting average in the .270 range. Judge has huge raw power, but he doesn’t sell out for home runs during at-bats. As he matures, that power could start to show up in games, making him an intriguing prospect who profiles as anything from a fourth outfielder to a power-hitting right fielder with 25-plus home run pop. While he’s not there yet, Judge is definitely a guy to track.

The New York Yankees have officially had 16 Captains in their history, names ranging from Babe Ruth to Lou Gehrig, Thurman Munson to Ron Guidry, Don Mattingly to Derek Jeter.

In an appearance on The Mike Lupica Show on ESPN Radio 98.7 FM on Thursday afternoon, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said that when Jeter's No. 2 is eventually retired, the Yankees' captaincy should be retired as well.

"I think Derek did it as well as anyone can,'' Cashman told ESPNNewYork.com. "He wore it well, and I'm not a big advocate of giving out the captaincy anyway. I'm not going to recommend anyone being named captain of the New York Yankees right away.''

Jeter was named captain in 2003, eight years after Mattingly retired, and he held the title until his retirement at the end of last season. Among the current Yankees who could be considered possible successors to Jeter are Brian McCann, Mark Teixeira, Chase Headley, Brett Gardner and Alex Rodriguez.

While there isn't a rush to name a captain, there should be a time in the future that a leader emerges in the clubhouse.

While the theme for this season seems to be uncertainty, the Yankees may be able to put something together and hopefully will make it to playoffs this season.

The New York Rangers: The Road Back to Playoffs

New York Rangers got Keith Yandle, defenseman Chris Summers and a 2016 fourth-round pick from Arizona Coyotes for Anthony Duclair, John Moore, a 2016 first-round pick and a 2015 second-round pick.

The Eastern Conference is wide open, and the Rangers just went all in on a game-changing trade. The Rangers, have the league’s seventh best goaltending at even strength, and when Henrik Lundqvist returns from injury, that could improve.

Rangers winger Marty St. Louis, a 39-year-old former Cup winner with Tampa Bay who's seen it all, says one of the best things about this Rangers team is "it's always a different guy leading us every night. Six, seven, eight guys are on top of their game and it pulls the whole team through. Then another night, it's six or eight other guys. We knew when Hank went out, we had to collectively pick it up. And that's what we did."

The Rangers were solid defensively, created plenty of scoring chances for themselves and got big saves from Cam Talbot when they needed them. They played with confidence and relief to he trade deadline ending.

It's a long way to the end of the regular season, let alone to the Stanley Cup finals. But what the Rangers did before Monday's deadline and in the game that followed were more proof that this team believes  it can get back there. It gave the blueshirts the confidence boost they need.

Jon Stewart Nails Rollins in the Nuts and #GiveDivasAChance

The Daily Show host and native New Jerseyan, Jon Stewart, brought life to a very dull episode of Monday Night Raw. Rollins and Reigns opened and closed the show with the main event feud that may eventually lead to the predictable MITB match following Reigns win at Wrestlemania. Seth Rollins proved he has mastered his role as a heel. Stewart ran for his life after delivering a low blow to Mr. Money in the Bank.

AJ Lee has finally returned. Last week, Patricia Arquette pleads for women's rights at the Oscars and writers give the Diva's a 30-second match. This leads to a #GiveDivasAChance hashtag and AJ Lee voicing her very loud opinion. "Your female wrestlers have record selling merchandise & have starred in the highest rated segment of the show several times, And yet they receive a fration of the wages and screen time of the majority of the male roster. #UseYourVoice." Steph soon replied, "Thank you @WWEAJLee, I appreciate your opinion." The WWE has a long history of treating the Divas as eye candy so it's about time some of these girls stood up for themselves.
